Fireworks
I found myself journeying alone on an airplane at the turning of a new year. The plain cabin felt empty, silent, and colorless as the clock hit 11:59, but as I slid up the window, hundreds of vibrant and sparkling fireworks flooded my vision, flooding my heart with the love and memories of my family and home.
